The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation responsible for the distribution, control and regulation of beverage alcohol in Saskatchewan. SLGA operates 75 retail liquor stores and there are approximately 600 private liquor retailers throughout the province.
SLGA also operates and regulates many forms of gaming in the province including electronic gaming, charitable gaming and horse racing and also registers all provincial gaming employees and gaming suppliers. For more information about the regulation of gaming see: www.slga.gov.sk.ca

Special Occasion Permits are required for anyone serving alcohol at a special event such as a wedding, cabaret or fundraiser. Special Occasion Permits are issued by all SLGA liquor stores, private retailers and SLGA Head Office in Regina.
